J. Budro Partida

owner & founder

J. Budro Partida is an Emmy award-winning video producer and award-winning filmmaker from Austin, Texas.

 

He has worked professionally in television and media production for nearly 25 years. His spectrum of work includes award-winning short films and music videos, television commercials, and multiple television series, including "Professor Griffin's Midnight Theatre" and the Emmy award-winning late night TV series, "Austin After Hours".

 

He is a 14-time Telly Award winner (including two Silver Tellys), and has garnered multiple industry awards throughout his career. His short documentary "Sunset at Dry Creek" won "Best Documentary" at The Longhorn Film Festival (2022) ,  "Best Short Documentary" at the Grand New York Film Awards (2022), and "Best Short Documentary" at Austin Indie Fest (2023) . In 2020, his micro-short, "Devastated" won the Platinum Award (beating 375+ other short films) and named Season 6 Winner of the 15 Second Horror Film Challenge Competition in 2020. His 2019 werewolf short, "Bewere", won "Best Horror Film" at the 2020 Austin Indie Fest, "Best Picture" at the 2020 Demonic Brilliance Film Festival and won "Best Horror Short" at the 2019 San Antonio Horrific Film Fest.

 

He is currently serving as Director and Producer on the feature-length documentary in-production titled "Bloody & Bruised: The Untold Story of The Back Room" set to release in Spring 2024.

 

In 2013, he formed his production company, PennyRock Productions LLC.

John R. Jew has been involved with band management and promotion for many years with his company, HorrorScope Entertainment, before joining forces with PennyRock Productions in 2019 where he now plays the role of Producer and Public Relations Coordinator and handles all bookings and scheduling.


While he has been involved with film productions in various capacities, including gripping and lighting to production coordinator, he has played many key roles on set for PennyRock Productions and has been involved with the making of narrative and live music videos, short films and is now serving as Producer for "Bloody & Bruised: The Untold Story of The Back Room".

Adam Salinas

associate producer

Adam was born and raised in Austin, Texas in and around the local artist and music scene that attracts many people to Austin. He has been heavily involved with the local and major touring music scene since the late 90s. \m/ He has written, produced and directed two short films of his own and collaborated on other student productions as well. He was involved with Third Coast Casting, where he honed his film skills on set as an extra, a stand-in, security, set design, lighting and production assistant. An avid film buff, Adam has worked at The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema since December 2003. He has an associate degree in radio, television and film and a bachelor’s degree in sociology with a minor in mass communication. He interned at The Austin Music Network as well as Time Warner while pursuing his education. Adam is serving as Associate Producer for the full length documentary "Bloody & Bruised: The Untold Story of The Back Room" currently in-production from PennyRock Productions.

Andrew Forbis has been a life-long movie enthusiast. He is a fan of horror, sci-fi, and comedy and brings new ideas and creative innovation to longtime standings in media production.

Jared Rienfeld is a graduate of the University of North Texas with a Bachelor's Degree in Media Arts. He is also a long-time fan of horror and sci-fi movies. Through PennyRock Productions, he hopes to gain experience and hone his filmmaking skills.

Holly Sill

After receiving a B.S. in communications studies from SHSH, she's now working towards a certificate in film production from ACC. She hopes to further develop her creative vision and learn as much about cinematography and videography as she can by working hands-on with PennyRock Productions. 🤘

Jeff Sandmann

filmmaker/producer, Jumper Productions, LLC

Jeff has produced, shot and directed video for over 25 years, creating coach’s shows, corporate videos, hundreds of commercials, and earning 3 Telly Awards in the process. He directed his first film, the feature-length documentary Nothing Stays the Same: The Story of The Saxon Pub, which premiered at the SXSW 2019 Film Festival where it earned the Audience Award for Music Film. The doc also earned Best Texas Film at the Hill Country Film Festival and a nomination for 2019 Texas Independent Film of the Year by the Houston Film Critics Society.
He’s worked on TV shows such as the docuseries Friday Night Tykes, Netflix’s Dave Chappelle Deep in the Heart of Texas and Ireland’s live music show Other Voices. His work over the past 11 years producing tribute videos for the Texas Heritage Songwriters Hall of Fame has evolved into working with other musical institutions, producing livestream concerts for organizations like the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians, Kerrville Folk Festival, and Houston's KPFT-FM.
Jeff earned a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences degree from Texas State University, and he spent 21 years working as a Senior Producer for Time Warner Cable. In 2013 he formed his production company, Jumper Productions.

Robert L. Moore

Robert Lloyd Moore (RLM Productions) is an Austin, TX based Director of Photography with a keen eye for telling unique stories. He has worked in the local film industry full time since 2014 and has had the opportunity to work with some of the best talent Texas has to offer. He is known for his work on Glass (2016), Bewere (2019), Baby (2019), and Wallaroos Aren’t Real (2020).

Jacob T. Stone

Jacob Stone Films/Phantom6Productions

Jacob T. Stone is the "horror guy." He is a Horror Filmmaker and Content Creator based in Austin, TX . He started as a videographer in 2010 doing a variety of projects. Now, he creates narrative, YouTube, and music video content. He focuses on cinematography and editing with a slight edge toward motion graphics and animation. Also, he is passionate about horror and is building a horror film and cartoon production company. One of the first productions will be a horror cartoon series called Rosie and Friends. Some of his most recent work includes Director of Photography on Dumpster Diver (Holy Diver Parody), winning best editor for Camp Grenada film, and Director of Photography for Dawn of the Dude, a Fall 2020 web series. In his spare time, he likes yoga, going to metal shows, and long walks to the coffee shop. Chisholm McEacharn

Blackhat Studios/Stream Studios

Chisholm McEacharn is a Director, Videographer & Editor as well as the Founder of Blackhat Studios and Stream Studios which are based near Austin, TX.  Over the past few years Chisholm has grown his business by working with small local clients all the way up to city officials, short films, weddings and more.  Chisholm is thankful for the opportunity to be able to express his creativity through creating content. In 2020 he directed his first short, "Bad Carma", which is currently in post-production and set to release early 2021.

Brian Monnone

Big Flavor Films

Brian Monnone is a 20+ year award winning, authored, motion graphic designer turned filmmaker, director, director of photography, editor, colorist, sound designer, lover of all kinds of music, race car driver, and an all around serious go-getter. After working on top brands for advertising agencies in Austin and literally writing the book on motion graphic design (six times), Brian decided it was time to do it for himself. He founded Big Flavor Films in 2018 based in South Austin, Texas, his hometown. Big Flavor Film’s nimble team is often traveling the country making national TV commercials yet remain loyal to locally-based projects including local TV, music videos, documentaries, music events, or just about anything that moves or motivates them. Following his gut and heart, Brian strives to create meaningful experiences that move people. As such, his work with Big Flavor Films has garnered national and world-wide recognition. Hunter McClure

Videography, Production Assistant, Camera Operator, Gaffer, Grip

Hunter grew up in a small town in North Texas called Lindsay, from there he migrated down south to attend Austin Community College and explore life in a new perspective. Fortunately he entered the production world during his 2nd semester at 18 working as a grip for Kernel Productions (Spectrum Reach). Since then he’s worked on a variety of production related work such as The Paleo f(x) Conference in Austin, Texas as an Assistant Cameraman, Grip/Lighting work for PennyRock Productions, and six Spectrum Tv Commercials. Now Hunter has transferred to Texas State University to pursue a degree in Electronic Media & Mass Communication and is building the foundation of his and his partner’s, Clay McCoy, Production company: Balanced Productions. Here to make any and all your production related work, a balanced one.

Clay McCoy

Videography, Production Assistant, Gaffer, Grip

Clay was born and raised in the countryside of Tyler, Texas. During his time there he worked as a Physical Therapist Assistant at Baylor Scott and White Orthopedic Hospital, and slowly fell in love with the thought of traveling the world and taking on something new. He eventually moved to San Marcos Texas and in 2020 joined forces with Director and Co-Founder of Balanced Productions(BP), Hunter McClure, to create and establish their own organization dedicated to film. Both Clay and BP are dedicated to humbly servicing PennyRock with lighting, camera-work, and any gripwork necessary to see their vision reach fruition.

Jeremy The Artist

Graphic Designer, Viva JTA

Jeremy The Artist (JTA)'s diverse work has been featured in a variety of media, including: the children's book, "One Day Luisito", the teen movie comedy "Ned Venture (2016)", the board game, "Super PACS! The Game of Politics About the Game of Politics", the music video/printed comic book, “You Ain’t”, and the main poster illustration for the upcoming horror movie, “Water Dawg (2022)”. In May 2020, JTA created a t-shirt design for the “Keep Austin Weird” t-shirt campaign, held by Austin-based company Outhouse Designs and GSD&M, all profits donated to charities and foundations for Austin-based artists & musicians hindered by the COVID-19 crisis.JTA additionally has illustrated covers for the indie horror/action comic, Halloween Man (Issues #21 & #22) and most recently, created the artwork for the musical single, “Dawning of the Digital Angels” by composer Steven Cravis. JTA loves monsters, pin ups & silly faces. He currently resides in Austin, TX.

Rick Medina

Filmmaker, (813) Films

Rick Medina is an award-winning filmmaker and editor from San Antonio, Texas. A graduate of UT-Austin’s Radio/Television/Film program, he has worked in television for over twenty years as a cameraman and video editor.

 

Rick has directed several documentary short films, including the film-festival favorite “The Opossum Begins,” as well as the films “Amigoland” and “Alamo Records.”

Jordan Jones

Voice actor, on-camera actor, impressionist, musician, chef, stunt driver, brain surgeon, fighter pilot, whatever, let’s do this!

Currently the new voice of "Sonny" for CoCoa Puffs cereal, Jordan began his voice over career in 2001 after a decade in media advertising. 

 

His natural voice talents coupled with an abundance of creativity allow him to deliver the perfect straight read as well as over the top characters, impressions, and musical works including complex multi-part harmony jingles. 

 

Jordan works with large companies including DreamWorks, The Travel Channel, Pandora, Cartoon Network, Audi, Apple, The Food Network, and ESPN as well as numerous smaller clients. He is a lead character in a PS4 game, brings to life countless cartoon projects, and is the voice of many popular toys available worldwide from companies including Mattel and Fisher-Price.

 

In addition to stand up comedy experience, Jordan has expanded his acting into on-camera work. He stars in commercials, is in several independent films, and appears in HBO’s “The Leftovers”.
