J. Budro Partida

owner & founder

J. Budro Partida is an Emmy award-winning video producer and award-winning filmmaker from Austin, Texas.


He has worked professionally in television and media production since 1997. His spectrum of work includes award-winning films and music videos, television commercials, multiple television series, and the Emmy award-winning late night TV series, "Austin After Hours".

 

He is a 14-time Telly Award winner (including two Silver Tellys), and has garnered multiple industry awards throughout his career.

His short documentary "Sunset at Dry Creek" won "Best Short Documentary" at Austin Indie Fest (2023), "Best Documentary" at The Longhorn Film Festival (2022) , and "Best Short Documentary" at the Grand New York Film Awards (2022). In 2020, his micro-short, "Devastated" won the Platinum Award (beating 375+ other short films) and named Season 6 Winner of the 15 Second Horror Film Challenge Competition in 2020. His 2019 werewolf short, "Bewere", won "Best Horror Film" at the 2020 Austin Indie Fest, "Best Picture" at the 2020 Demonic Brilliance Film Festival and won "Best Horror Short" at the 2019 San Antonio Horrific Film Fest. In 2024, he completed a feature-length music documentary titled "Bloody & Bruised: The Untold Story of The Back Room" which is already starting to garner awards in the film-festival circuit.

In 2013, he formed his production company, PennyRock Productions LLC, with the company motto "A National Look on a Local Budget". PennyRock Productions LLC has been providing Central Texas and the surrounding areas with professional, award-winning video and media services specializing in client commercial production, film, music videos, and promotional materials for online advertising since 1997.

john r. jew

producer & p.r. coordinator

John R. Jew has been involved with band management and promotion for many years with his company, HorrorScope Entertainment, before joining forces with PennyRock Productions in 2019 where he now plays the role of Producer and Public Relations Coordinator and handles all bookings and scheduling.


While he has been involved with film productions in various capacities, including gripping and lighting to production coordinator, he has played many key roles on set for PennyRock Productions and has been involved with the making of narrative and live music videos, short films and is now serving as Producer for "Bloody & Bruised: The Untold Story of The Back Room".

Adam Salinas

associate producer

Adam was born and raised in Austin, Texas in and around the local artist and music scene that attracts many people to Austin. He has been heavily involved with the local and major touring music scene since the late 90s. \m/ He has written, produced and directed two short films of his own and collaborated on other student productions as well. He was involved with Third Coast Casting, where he honed his film skills on set as an extra, a stand-in, security, set design, lighting and production assistant. An avid film buff, Adam has worked at The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema since December 2003. He has an associate degree in radio, television and film and a bachelor’s degree in sociology with a minor in mass communication. He interned at The Austin Music Network as well as Time Warner while pursuing his education. Adam is serving as Associate Producer for the full length documentary "Bloody & Bruised: The Untold Story of The Back Room" currently in-production from PennyRock Productions.

Jeff Sandmann

filmmaker/producer, Jumper Productions, LLC

Jeff has produced, shot and directed video for over 25 years, creating coach’s shows, corporate videos, hundreds of commercials, and earning 3 Telly Awards in the process. He directed his first film, the feature-length documentary Nothing Stays the Same: The Story of The Saxon Pub, which premiered at the SXSW 2019 Film Festival where it earned the Audience Award for Music Film. The doc also earned Best Texas Film at the Hill Country Film Festival and a nomination for 2019 Texas Independent Film of the Year by the Houston Film Critics Society.
He’s worked on TV shows such as the docuseries Friday Night Tykes, Netflix’s Dave Chappelle Deep in the Heart of Texas and Ireland’s live music show Other Voices. His work over the past 11 years producing tribute videos for the Texas Heritage Songwriters Hall of Fame has evolved into working with other musical institutions, producing livestream concerts for organizations like the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians, Kerrville Folk Festival, and Houston's KPFT-FM.
Jeff earned a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences degree from Texas State University, and he spent 21 years working as a Senior Producer for Time Warner Cable. In 2013 he formed his production company, Jumper Productions.

Brian Monnone

Big Flavor Films

Brian Monnone is a 20+ year award winning, authored, motion graphic designer turned filmmaker, director, director of photography, editor, colorist, sound designer, lover of all kinds of music, race car driver, and an all around serious go-getter. After working on top brands for advertising agencies in Austin and literally writing the book on motion graphic design (six times), Brian decided it was time to do it for himself. He founded Big Flavor Films in 2018 based in South Austin, Texas, his hometown. Big Flavor Film’s nimble team is often traveling the country making national TV commercials yet remain loyal to locally-based projects including local TV, music videos, documentaries, music events, or just about anything that moves or motivates them. Following his gut and heart, Brian strives to create meaningful experiences that move people. As such, his work with Big Flavor Films has garnered national and world-wide recognition. Robert L. Moore

Robert Lloyd Moore (RLM Productions) is an Austin, TX based Director of Photography with a keen eye for telling unique stories. He has worked in the local film industry full time since 2014 and has had the opportunity to work with some of the best talent Texas has to offer. He is known for his work on Glass (2016), Bewere (2019), Baby (2019), and Wallaroos Aren’t Real (2020).

Jacob T. Stone

Jacob Stone Films/Phantom6Productions

Jacob T. Stone is the "horror guy." He is a Horror Filmmaker and Content Creator based in Austin, TX . He started as a videographer in 2010 doing a variety of projects. Now, he creates narrative, YouTube, and music video content. He focuses on cinematography and editing with a slight edge toward motion graphics and animation. Also, he is passionate about horror and is building a horror film and cartoon production company. One of the first productions will be a horror cartoon series called Rosie and Friends. Some of his most recent work includes Director of Photography on Dumpster Diver (Holy Diver Parody), winning best editor for Camp Grenada film, and Director of Photography for Dawn of the Dude, a Fall 2020 web series. In his spare time, he likes yoga, going to metal shows, and long walks to the coffee shop. Chisholm McEacharn

Blackhat Studios/Stream Studios

Chisholm McEacharn is a Director, Videographer & Editor as well as the Founder of Blackhat Studios and Stream Studios which are based near Austin, TX.  Over the past few years Chisholm has grown his business by working with small local clients all the way up to city officials, short films, weddings and more.  Chisholm is thankful for the opportunity to be able to express his creativity through creating content. In 2020 he directed his first short, "Bad Carma", which is currently in post-production and set to release early 2021.
